april fools day

a bit late, but i've just abruptly realised how much i love april fools day. this april fools day (and last years), i woke up with that feeling i used to get for christmas and birthdays, which i haven't felt since i was 13, and looked at all the stuff tv stations like the BBC, websites like youtube, and companies like Blizzard put out on april fools (not that i rushed out of bed to look at this stuff, that seems a bit weird to me). its like, nearly all other 'special days' have been completely taken over by materialism too much, you know, christmas presents, easter chocolate, valentines day, uh stuff, halloween lollies (not that i really do anything, although i like the idea of dressing up) and birthday cake and presents, where kids and adults too think mostly of the stuff. But april fools day is still a day when the whole day is just about having fun, being ridiculous and creativity. in the future someone will probably find a way to cash in on this, but for the moment, it is one of the best days of the year.
