hungry beast

while i'm sure many people are already aware of the tv show 'hungry beast', on ABC2 (or is it ABC1? no, its ABC2. i just looked it up, apparently its ABC1, how about that?) i think it deserves as many viewers and advertising as it can possibly get. not that being mentioned in this blog can really be called advertising, unless you count graffiti on a tree in the middle of the bush advertising. well technically, i guess it is but...

anyway, Hungry Beast is a tv show, on ABC1, at 9:30pm on wednesdays and on ABC2 at 10:15pm on thursdays.

its sort of like a current affairs show, except it has a sort of high school-university sort of amateurish feel to it, while at the same time being highly informative, showing the facts, the truth behind so much of day to day life, which sort of makes you realise theres something wrong with todays civilised world. or at least thats what i get from it. its kind of sad, because they use it with facts, logic, understanding, common sense and down to earthness, you don't usually find in a current affairs program.

maybe i'm not being clear. its not sad they're using these tools, its sad both because they're rare in current affairs shows, and because the information they put out is true. i mean what the information means about the world, thats the sad part.

its also usually extremely funny. theres an ongoing skit about mary poppins being a drug dealer. and the police are trying to get this small blue bird to spill the beans about her whereabouts...

hmm, is there such thing as blue canaries? i hope you see where i'm going with this...

because if not, this is kind of awkward. maybe you should go for a walk, or watch some tv. just, come back later.

if you don't live in australia, but you like the sound of Hungry Beast, heres their website:

if you can watch it, i highly recommend it. go on the website to see this weeks episode.

i wanted to put a picture a friend showed me of barack obama riding a unicorn naked, but i can't find the pic, and shes not online so i can't ask her. it'll be on here tomorrow though, with much fanfare.

for now, following this weeks apparent vein of family guy, is, well, this:
